Propylene glycol methyl ether acetate (PMA)-propionate (PMP) is a low-toxic high-level solvent. Its molecule contains both ether and carbonyl groups. The carbonyl group forms an ester structure and contains alkyl groups. There are both non-polar parts and polar parts in the same molecule. The functional groups of these two parts not only restrict and repel each other, but also play an inherent role.
