Product Description

Microfibrillated Cellulose (MFC) is a nanoscale functional material prepared from plant fibers, which has the characteristics of both natural fibers and nanomaterials. It is mainly derived from natural cellulose, such as wood pulp, crop straw, etc., after mechanical treatment (such as high-pressure homogenization, ultrafine grinding, high-intensity ultrasonic, etc.) or chemical pretreatment (such as acid-base extraction, TEMPO oxidation, etc.), the formation of highly swelling colloidal cellulose with a diameter of 1-100 nm and a length of less than 20 microns.
Microfibrillated cellulose is a naturally derived polymer material, which is a bio-based material, rather than a chemically synthesized material in the traditional sense. Although it has undergone a certain physical or chemical treatment, its core ingredient is still natural cellulose.
Application areas of microfibrillated cellulose:
1.Paper industry: used to enhance the strength and performance of paper.
2.Composite materials: as a reinforcing agent, to improve the mechanical properties of materials. Food & 3.Pharmaceutical: Used in packaging materials to provide barrier properties and enhance mechanical properties. 4.Biomedical materials: used to strengthen biomedical materials such as hydrogels. Environmental protection field: used for wastewater treatment and biodegradable materials.
